Pradesh No. 5

Pradesh No. 5 (recently named Lumbini Province) is located in the western part of Nepal, and borders Gandaki Pradesh and Karnali Pradesh to its north, Sudurpashchim Pradesh to the west, and India to the south. Home to the world heritage site of Lumbini, considered by Buddhists as the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, it is the third-largest province in the country, both by area and population. With Deukhuri as its capital, it hosts major cities like Butwal, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj, Tansen, Ghorahi and Tulsipur.
