Pradesh No. 1

Pradesh No.1 (also called Koshi Province) is located in the eastern-most side of Nepal, bordering Tibet to the north, India to its east and south, and Vagmati Pradesh and Pradesh No. 2 on its west. Home to none less than Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, it also hosts the river Koshi — the longest river in the country — from which it also gets its name. With Biratnagar as its capital, it has several important towns including Birtamod, Birat Chowk, Damak, Dharan, Itahari, Triyuga and Mechinagar, and covers 28 Parliamentary and 56 provincial assembly seats.
