Sylhet

Sylhet, along with Chittagong and Dhaka, forms the economic powerhouse of Bangladesh. It is centered around the city of Sylhet which has a major international airport connecting it to foremost cities of the world like New York and London, alongside Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern routes, especially UAE and Malaysia. It is therefore the Division with the highest rate of outward migration, and serves Bangladesh with its remittance economy and powerful human resource. It is also rich in natural resources with the largest reserve of natural gas in Bangladesh, attracting global investments.
